Session on: Cardiac Remodelling

Cardiac Remodelling

Cardiac remodelling is a term that alludes to changes in the heart's size and shapes that happen because of cardiac disease or cardiac damage.

Eventually, ventricular remodelling may result in decreased contractile (systolic) work and lessened stroke volume.

In cardiology, ventricular remodelling (or cardiac remodelling) refers to changes in the size, shape, structure, and capacity of the heart. This can occur because of activity or after damage to the heart muscle.

The best medications for heart failure give off an impression of being those that that reduce or reverse ventricular remodelling.

The expression "turn around rebuilding" in cardiology infers a change in ventricular mechanics and capacity following remote damage or neurotic process.
